Small Area Services

The Centre offers detailed base-case and/or customized long-term projections at virtually any level of geography in Canada.

Projections are available at the Census Division (region, county, district, etc.), Census Sub-Division (city, town, village, etc.) and Forward Sortation Area (first three digits of the postal code) levels.  Projections at other levels of geography can also be developed.

Base case projections provide details regarding the population by age and gender, households by age of head, and average household incomes.  Customized projections can be developed to cover forecasts of labour market activity, housing requirements by type, spending by expenditure category, etc.
